End of the program - what did I learn.
Lesson 1 - make sure in future to put the training times into my calendar to avoid being double booked - my poor excuse for not showing up to the training sessions.
Lesson 2 - luckily the Web 2.0 stuff is pretty easy to use, would explain why they are so popular.
Lesson 3 - just seeing how many photos are uploaded on Flickr is astounding, this is where the people are at - how can we best tap into this. Is Flickr Commons the answer? Do people click through from Flickr Commons to the institution and then browse further?

#8 - Tags, Del.icio.us and Library Thing
These things are fun but I think they have probably had their moment of glory a while back.
Our Del.icio.us account for SLV chat is a real life saver at times.
Library Thing is great if you are the kind of person that feels the need to catalogue your book collection - not my idea of an interesting way to spend my time. I don't know if with our new Search interface we really need Library Thing as we will be allowing clients to tag and review collection items.

RSS #5
RSS Feeds - where to stop the feast - I could subscribe to so many things and totally submerge myself in trivial news and updates - the trick I guess is to limit yourself to what you can use most effectively.
Wikis and Online Applications #2
I have to say that wikis don't really do much for me although I can see that they can be useful for certain things.
I am a big fan of Google Docs. Not having Microsoft Office at home I use Google Docs all the time - yep its sad but I work on stuff at home. I also find it very useful when I'm on the desk and it's not so busy I can still work on reports and things.
Not the most exciting of things but it makes life a little easier.

First Post
Well - launching myself into the brave new world of Learning 2.0 with my first blog post. Hoping that I will have time to jazz it up a little and get rid of some of the pink. Lacking coffee so creativity is at an all time low. No more training sessions at 9am please.
